OKencasa combines the following in an integrated system: an interaction channel using an app for mobile devices, mechanisms to generate maintenance of treatment, biopsychosocial assessment of informal carers, psychopedagogy through online training and practice of skills, online psychosocial support, tools for the logistics management of day-to-day care, data intelligence SaaS for sociosanitary staff in public administrations, among other services, in a single system.
OKencasa is a methodology and a technological psychoeducational assistance service for informal carers charged with dependent seniors in their homes. The primary mission of OKencasa is to help the carers provide a quality service and care for themselves in an effective manner, preventing any faux pas; secondly, OKencasa helps the public care system to provide better support for family carers, using effective processes and technology.
The effectiveness of the OKENCASA methodology has the scientific backing of a randomised control group/intervention group clinical study, approved by the Basque Country Clinical Research Ethics Committee (CEIC-E, PI2018086) and conducted by the University of the Basque Country and the London School of Economics.
