Have you ever thought what your life will be like as you get older, and which technologies will be available for you at any given time? In her book, The AgeTech Revolution, Keren Etkin explains today’s intersection of technology and ageing. During the talk, Keren will discuss the technologies that are now being applied in connection with ageing (AgeTech), and will be explaining why they are so necessary and important nowadays. She will also be providing some examples of technology solutions in real-life situations, discussing how to address the challenges of ageing, and taking a look at what the future AgeTech will be in 5, 10 or 20 years.

Keren Etkin is a gerontologist and author of the book The AgeTech Revolution, on the intersection between technology and ageing. Keren is the founder of TheGerontechnologist.com, a media platform covering the global AgeTech ecosystem and The AgeTech Academy, which provides digital training for entrepreneurs and professionals operating in the care sector in the field of technology for ageing.
She is also the founder/director of AgeLabIL at Israel’s Shenkar university, an interdisciplinary AgeTech research and development centre.
Acclaimed as one of the most influential experts in the field of ageing, Keren is a much sought-after speaker and advisor to start-ups, investors specialising in the Silver Economy, suppliers and organisations working on innovation to improve the welfare of elderly people. She previously worked at Intuition Robotics, the manufacturer of ElliQ, a pioneer social robot designed with and for elderly adults.
She was also co-founder and vice-president of Sensi.ai, a start-up which developed the first artificial intelligence solution to monitor care for the elderly. She has a Master’s in Gerontology and a Degree in Life Sciences from Ben-Gurion University.
